Dr. Ing. Ahmet Lokurlu - Scientific entrepreneur on highly efficient sun collectors
In 1993, when Dr.-Ing. Ahmet Lokurlu got badly sunburned during vacation he asked himself: Why not turn this inexhaustible energy into cooling? While still working as scientist on fuel cells and energy economics at the Research Centre Juelich, he soon realized the potential of this breakthrough technology. Consequently, he founded Solitem in 1999. Over the years the Solitem group has developed solar-powered energy savings solutions for industrial applications that allow customers to significantly reduce their energy bills. They are thus less dependent on traditional fossil fuels and can reduce their CO₂ emission levels at large.
